Sudbury Pines Extended Care has a Resident Council that is comprised of our active patient population. All resident are invited to attend and vote on programs and activities. The Resident Council coordinates diverse events at the facility. Funds from Fundraising endeavors such as craft and bake sales are often used to help residents acquire personal effects or they are used for quality improvements as recommended by the council.

The ‘Council’ regularly meets with the Department Heads for updates on changes and to ask questions. This forum is often how new governmental regulations and policies are updated so the residents are educated on the most current changes facing the Health Care industry. The position of President and Secretary are held by the residents. Meetings are generally scheduled as requested by the residents.
